Surprised the Tories did not promote him! Not in agreement with your views on Labour. Miliband is Bani Yehudi, at least Lab do not (at present) have links to BNP/EDL...
Neither do the Tories have links to BNP/EDL, to my knowledge. And a number of people have speculated that one of the reasons that Miliband is going very gently on anti-Semitism is precisely *because* of his Jewish roots: that he doesn't want to be seen to be "taking sides".
Have to agree - I actually think the Tories are doing more to stamp out racism in their party than Labour at the moment, which was the point of the post.
And I also am a member of the Labour Party (in case that were not blindingly obvious!)
Activist, free thinker, Labour Party management team through 2001 and 2005 general elections, responsible for Labour's early web presence and creator of its first-ever national electoral register. Happily married to Mireia and dad to three year-old Zoë and baby Dixie. Now work as an advisor to small business, interim manager, social entrepreneur and all-round communications guy
Politically think of myself as a loyalist (rather than a parrot). Member of Progress, the Fabians and the Co-op. My posts are vetted only by my, er, own sense of discretion and propriety. I've worked in business for many years, so have no truck with anti-business prejudice. Like social/ethical business, co-operatives and sustainability. Fought one general election and longlisted by NEC panel to be Labour candidate in 2010.
Nothing wrong with wanting to change the world, is there?

ReplyDeleteCiaran - I think your comments about the Tories are extremely unfair - and I'm a member of the Labour Party.
